Project Salt is a non-profit based in Seattle that is working to preserve the rich musical traditions of Cabo Verde. In 2005, project founder, Johnny Fernandes took Seattle-band Quasi Nada to the islands to deliver musical instruments and to perform at a music festival in Santa Maria, Sal. He was joined by journalist Gerry Hadden, photographer Shannon Welles, and cinematographer Chandler Griffin who graciously put together this film.
