This is a video of my last vacation to the coast in October of 2007. The trip starts with the journey from Tillamook. The regular road to take from Tillamook is the one that goes through Netarts, be we took the road that goes by the Three Capes, and the Meares Cape area. It is a much better drive in my oppinion. As the video progresses you can see the places to stay in Oceanside, there is the Oceanside Inn first on the left and just before the restaurant, The Anchor Inn on the right, and just ahead and on the right The Cabins. The Anchor Inn has apparently upset many of Oceanside's residence with it's recent remodel of the historic building, which includes the addition of a story. Nearly every other resident of the oceanside community has a sign in their yard or window that reads "Boycott the Anchor." I honestly can not clearly remember the Anchor Inn before the remodel so I can not say what has changed besides the height. The oceanside beach has a cave at the north end that has opened up accessibility to very secluded small beach that as far as I know is only accessible through the cave. The Gull that is featured towards the end of the video is eating Jellyfish that washed up with the tide.
