La Observación de aves es una actividad del ecoturismo que acerca a la gente a la naturaleza, inspirándola a proteger y conservar a las especies que descubren y los lugares donde éstas viven. Puede ser disfrutada por familias, grupos de amigos o en solitario, sin importar la edad. Tiene muchas ventajas para la gente que la disfruta; las aves son bellas, diversas y divertidas para observar; las aves se pueden ver casi en cualquier lugar; desde el auto o la ventana de la oficina, el jardín, en el parque o fuera de las ciudades en ambientes más naturales. 80 millones de personas en los Estados Unidos de Norteamérica son observadores de aves y el observar aves es considerado el deporte de espectadores número uno. Coahuila cuenta con casi 400 especies de aves, además de muy variados hábitats y lugares para observarlas. Aún necesitamos desarrollar una cultura de observación de aves para poder disfrutar de esta maravillosa riqueza natural. The Birdwatching is a hobby that brings near people to the nature, inspiring it to protect and to conserve the creatures that discover and the places where this creatures live. It is an activity that can be enjoyed by families, friends' groups or in solitary, without caring the age. The Birdwatching has many advantages for people that enjoys it. First, the birds are beautiful, diverse and amusing to observe. The birds can be seen almost in any place; from the car or the window of the office, the garden, in the park or outside of the cities in more natural atmospheres. The birds can be enjoyed at first sight, placing troughs and drinking troughs to attract them, using binoculars to identify them, they can also be made clever of all the birds that have seen each other. There are people that are devoted even to study them, they call themselves ornithologists. 80 million people in the United States are birdwatchers and birdwatching is the number one sport of spectators. In Great Britain the population's 80% is interested in the birds and 40 million people feed the birds regularly during the winter. Mexico has 1054 species of birds, besides very varied habitats and places to observe them. We still need to develop a culture of birdwatching to be able to enjoy this wonderful natural wealth.
